From 14th December 2007, by law, homeowners selling a property in England and Wales will require a Home Information Pack (HIP) when placing their property on the market.

“HIPs” contain information about a property, including legal documentation and an Energy Performance Certificate. The introduction of Home Information Packs by the government is designed to make the buying and selling process more consumer friendly, by providing key information upfront. The “HIP” gives confidence with transparency, enabling a more informed buying decision from the outset.
